Chris Kannady is a Republican representative for District 91 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, serving since 2014. Born on July 29, 1979, he is a disabled veteran, U.S. Marine Corps officer who deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, and currently serves as a Colonel and State Staff Judge Advocate for Air in the Oklahoma National Guard. He lives in Oklahoma City with his wife Renee and their two children, Kannon and Shelby; he works helping fellow veterans at Foshee and Yaffe, while Renee works at Children’s Hospital. Notable achievements include authoring "Trey's Law" to strengthen protections for child sexual abuse victims by extending statutes of limitations, chairing committees like Judiciary and Public Safety Oversight and Special Conference Committee on SB 647, and serving as Counselor to the Speaker. He endorsed Ron DeSantis early for the 2024 presidential election.
Education and Political Experience
Education: Graduated from the University of Oklahoma with three degrees ; served as vice president, chair of the graduate student senate, and president of the student body. Earned a master’s degree from George Washington University in national security and foreign relations.
