Judy Seeberger is a Democratic-Farmer-Labor member of the Minnesota Senate, representing District 41 since January 3, 2023. She is a public school teacher, lawyer, paramedic, former fire department employee, small business owner, and wife of a U.S. Navy Captain. Prior to the Senate, she served one term on the Bayport City Council, on the planning commissions of Bayport and Afton, and on the School Board of the Math and Science Academy as a teacher member. In 2025, she was recognized as a “Legislator of Distinction” by the League of Minnesota Cities.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: B.A. in English and Spanish from University of Minnesota, Duluth ; M.A.T. in Teaching from Hamline University ; J.D. from Boston University School of Law ; National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification as Paramedic .
- Political Experience: Elected to Minnesota Senate District 41 in 2022 ; previously Bayport City Council member; served on local planning commissions and school board. Campaigned on supporting first responders, mental health investments, crime prevention, tax cuts, abortion access, red flag laws, and paid family/medical leave.
