Aaron Lieberman

Aaron Lieberman is a native Arizonan and social entrepreneur who has been involved in Arizona politics and business. He resides in Paradise Valley, Arizona, with his wife. Throughout his career, he has focused on delivering results for families and small businesses in his community.

Education

Lieberman attended Yale University for his higher education.

Political Experience

Lieberman served as an Arizona State Representative for the 28th legislative district, representing a Phoenix-area seat. He was elected in 2018, defeating incumbent Republican Maria Syms, and served from January 14, 2019, until his resignation on September 20, 2021.

During his tenure in the Arizona House, he completed two terms in the state legislature. He is a member of the Democratic Party.

In June 2021, Lieberman announced his candidacy for Governor of Arizona in the 2022 election. He resigned from his House seat the following September to focus on his gubernatorial campaign. However, he trailed fellow candidate Katie Hobbs throughout the race and withdrew from the gubernatorial contest on May 27, 2022, pledging his support to a Democratic candidate.

Following his time in the House, Lieberman has continued his involvement in Arizona politics as an entrepreneur and former legislator, focusing on issues including affordable living, economic growth, green initiatives, and quality education.
