Aaron M. Frey is a Democratic politician and lawyer serving as the 58th Attorney General of Maine since 2019. He previously represented House District 124 in the Maine House of Representatives from 2012 to 2018, resigning in December 2018 upon his election as Attorney General. Notable achievements include joining 15 other state attorneys general in a 2019 lawsuit against the Trump administration's national emergency declaration, focusing on consumer protection, environmental enforcement, opioid crisis response, criminal justice reform, and co-chairing the National Association of Attorneys General's Elder Justice Committee; he was reelected in 2024.
