Aaron von Ehlinger is a former American politician and convicted sex offender. A Republican, he represented Idaho House District 6 from June 2020 until his resignation in April 2021.
Born Aaron Anson Ehlinger on May 7, 1982, he served in the United States Army, including deployment to Afghanistan post-9/11. After military service, he worked as a substitute teacher and real estate developer. Appointed by Governor Brad Little to fill a vacancy following Thyra Stevenson's death, he was elected to a full term in November 2020. In April 2021, he resigned after a House ethics committee found him guilty of "conduct unbecoming a representative" related to sexual pursuit of a legislative intern and others. In 2022, he was convicted of felony rape of a 19-year-old intern, sentenced to 20 years in prison , and must register as a sex offender.
