About
Aaron L. Woods was a Democratic politician who represented Oregon State Senate District 13 from January 9, 2023, until his death. A former tech executive and U.S. Army veteran, he won election in November 2022 by defeating his Republican opponent by over 15 points in the newly redrawn district covering areas like Tigard, Wilsonville, and Sherwood. Woods was noted for his advocacy for working families, high-speed internet access in underserved areas, schools, and transportation; he served as Co-Chair of the Joint Committee on Information Management & Technology and Co-Chair of the Joint Committee on Ways & Means Subcommittee on Transportation and Economic Development, among other roles. A long-time Wilsonville resident, he was a founding member of the Wilsonville Alliance for Inclusive Community, served on the Wilsonville Planning Commission and Clackamas Community College Board, and spoke at the city's 2022 Juneteenth Celebration.

- Professional Career: Grew up in Chicago; worked as a senior manager at Tektronix , held multiple positions at Xerox , recruited to Oregon by Tektronix in 1996.
