About

Adam Hertz

Adam Hertz is an American politician from Missoula, Montana. He served in the Montana House of Representatives representing District 96, which included parts of Missoula County. His tenure in the state legislature was from 2017 to 2018. Prior to his state service, Hertz held local office as a nonpartisan member of the Missoula City Council from 2012 to 2015, representing Ward 2.

Political Experience

Hertz's political career began at the municipal level, where he served three years on the Missoula City Council. He transitioned to state politics in 2016 when he ran for the Montana House as a Republican challenger against incumbent Democrat Andrew Person. Hertz won that race in a tightly contested election, winning by just over 100 votes. However, his time in the state legislature was short-lived, as he lost his reelection bid in 2018 to Tom Winter.
