Adam Hollier

Adam Hollier is a Democratic politician and military veteran from Detroit, Michigan. He is 40 years old and has dedicated his career to public service through both military and political roles.

Political Experience

Hollier first became a Michigan State Senator in 2018, initially representing District 2 until 2023. He is currently running for Michigan State Senate District 3, which includes parts of Hamtramck, Highland Park, and the east side of Detroit, as well as portions of Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties.

In September of the previous year, Hollier declared his candidacy for Michigan Secretary of State but later suspended that campaign to focus on his state senate race. In 2023, he was appointed Director of the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, a position he holds as part of the governor's cabinet.

Military Background

Hollier is a U.S. Army paratrooper and veteran who currently serves in the Army Reserve. His military service has been a defining part of his public identity and commitment to community leadership.
