Adam John Lusker Sr. is a Democratic former state representative from Kansas's 2nd District, covering parts of Allen, Bourbon, Crawford, and Neosho Counties in Southeast Kansas. A 46-year-old mason and 25-year business owner of A. Lusker Masonry, he resides in Frontenac, KS, with his family. Lusker is a U.S. Navy veteran and U.S. Army Reserves member, actively involved in community organizations including American Legion Post 43, Frontenac Rotary, multiple churches, Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge 187, Mirza Temple Shrine, and Scottish Rite. He previously served on the Frontenac Education Foundation and USD 249 School Board.

Education and Political Experience

Lusker attended Pittsburg State University. His political career includes election to the Frontenac School Board in 2009, serving four years. He represented the 2nd District in the Kansas House of Representatives from 2014 to 2019, winning unopposed in 2014 and 2016 but losing narrowly to Republican Ken Collins in 2018 with 49.6% of the vote. Notable positions held: House Democratic Caucus Policy Chair, House Minority Policy Chair, Ranking Member of the Transportation Committee and Veterans, Military and Homeland Security Committee, Chair of the Joint Committee on State Building Construction, and service on Agriculture, Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications committees, plus the Joint Transportation Vision Task Force.
