Adam Robertson
Adam Robertson is a Republican politician and businessman from Provo, Utah. He is deeply connected to the Brigham Young University community, having met his wife on campus, graduated from BYU, and lived south of campus during the early years of his marriage. Robertson has eight children and has maintained strong ties to the Provo area throughout his personal and professional life.
Education
Robertson earned a business degree from Brigham Young University and later completed a master's degree. He also has training as an engineer, which informed his early career path.
Political Experience
Robertson was sworn in as a Utah House Representative on January 16, 2018, representing the 63rd district, which encompasses BYU's campus and housing areas south of the university. During his tenure, he served on the Business, Economic Development, and Labor Appropriations Subcommittee, the House Education Committee, and the House Revenue and Taxation Committee.
In 2022, Robertson was redistricted to the 60th district and won re-election. However, he resigned from his seat weeks before the legislative session began in order to focus on his business ventures.
Professional Background
Beyond his political service, Robertson has held several significant positions in the private sector. He worked as a manufacturing engineer at Hewlett-Packard from 1998 to 2000 and later as a manager and designer at Agilent Technologies. From 2007 to 2017, he served as president of IMSAR, LLC, a radar technology company based in Spanish Fork, Utah. Since 2016, he has worked as Chief Financial Officer of Fortem Technologies Incorporated, a company he co-founded. He also served as an adjunct professor at Brigham Young University from 2010 to 2012.
