Adam J. Scanlon is a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, serving the 14th Bristol District since 2020. The district includes all of North Attleborough, precincts in Mansfield , and Ward 3 Precinct B in Attleboro. He resides in North Attleboro and was reelected in 2024, focusing on local development and community well-being. Notable positions include Vice-Chair of the House Committee on Post Audit and Oversight. He previously entered local government as a member of the North Attleboro Town Meeting , North Attleboro School Committee , and North Attleboro Town Council , defeating fellow councilor John Simmons in the 2020 election to succeed retiring incumbent Betty Poirier.
