Addia Wuchner
Addia Kathryn Wuchner was born on June 8, 1955, in Louisville, Kentucky, and has been a long-time resident of Northern Kentucky. She is an American politician and nurse who has dedicated much of her career to public service and humanitarian work.
Beyond her legislative career, Wuchner founded and served as missions director for Project Wings Of Mercy, an international medical and humanitarian aid organization. She completed nine missions to war-torn Bosnia and Croatia during the 1991-1994 conflict, demonstrating her commitment to global humanitarian efforts.
Political Experience
Wuchner served as a Republican member of the Kentucky House of Representatives representing the 66th district from 2005 to 2019. She chose not to seek reelection in 2018.
During her tenure in the legislature, Wuchner made significant contributions to healthcare policy. She was the first woman in Kentucky to be appointed Chair of the House Standing Committee on Health and Family Services, a notable achievement in Kentucky's legislative history.
Following her time in the legislature, Wuchner became involved with Kentucky Right to Life Association, where she has continued her advocacy work as an unwavering pro-life, pro-family, and pro-woman advocate, championing what she views as the human rights of the unborn and women's right to informed consent in healthcare decisions.
