About

Adrian Dickey is a Republican State Senator representing District 44 in the Iowa Senate. A lifelong resident of Packwood, Iowa, he is a father, president of Dickey Transport—a family business started by his grandfather in 1959—and serves as Assistant Majority Leader. Notable achievements include chairing the Iowa Motor Truck Association board, 33 years with the Iowa Firefighters Association, and ongoing service with the Packwood Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department since 1992. He is active in Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Fairfield and previously served on the Jefferson County Hospital Foundation board .

Education and Political Experience

  • Education: Earned a Bachelor of Technology degree magna cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa in three years.
  • Political Experience: Elected to the Iowa Senate in 2021, currently in his second term. Chairs the Workforce Committee; serves on Commerce, Judiciary, Rules and Administration, Transportation, and Ways and Means committees; vice chair of the Economic Development Appropriations Subcommittee. Previously represented Senate District 41 ; Assistant Republican Leader .
