Adrin Nazarian is a Democratic politician of Iranian-Armenian descent, born on March 19, 1973. He previously represented California's 46th Assembly District , covering areas like Van Nuys, North Hollywood, Panorama City, and Sherman Oaks in the central-southern San Fernando Valley. Since 2024, he serves as a member of the Los Angeles City Council for the 2nd District, which includes communities across the eastern San Fernando Valley; he chairs the Council's Committee on Energy and the Environment and was appointed by Mayor Karen Bass to the South Coast Air Quality Management District Governing Board in 2026.
Notable achievements include advocating for mass transit expansion, water resource management, film industry protection, earthquake preparedness, tenant protections, affordable housing preservation, enhanced medical disclosures, and establishing the largest U.S. college savings program. He organized over 30 free women's self-defense classes for 1,500+ participants and hosted 200+ community events on topics like child car seat safety and pet adoptions.
