Al Doty
Al Doty was born on October 19, 1945, and is a Minnesota politician from the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. He served as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, representing District 12B, which encompasses portions of Crow Wing and Morrison counties.
Political Experience
Doty was first elected to the Minnesota House in 2006, when he defeated three-term Republican incumbent Greg Blaine. He was re-elected in 2008 but lost his seat in the 2010 general election to Republican Mike LeMieur.
During his tenure in the legislature, Doty held positions on the House Agriculture, Rural Economies and Veterans Affairs Committee, where he also served on the committee's Veterans Affairs subcommittee. He was additionally a member of Finance subcommittees for both the Agriculture, Rural Economies and Veterans Affairs Finance Division and the Environment and Natural Resources Finance Division.

Outside of his legislative service, Doty worked as a Senior Advocate for Horizon Health Inc.
