Al Park
Al Park is an American attorney, lobbyist, and politician born on January 24, 1970. He is a member of the Democratic Party and represented District 26 in the New Mexico House of Representatives, which encompasses Bernalillo County.
Education
Park graduated from Purdue University with a degree in American History. He earned his law degree from George Washington University School of Law in 1995. Following law school, he clerked for Chief United States District Court Judge John Edwards Conway from 1995 to 1997.
Political Experience
Park was elected to the New Mexico House of Representatives in November 2000 and assumed office in January 2001. He served in this position through 2012, representing District 26. During his tenure in the legislature, he served as chair of the House Judiciary Committee.
In 2010, Park ran for Public Regulation Commissioner in Public Regulation Commission District 1, receiving 9,274 votes against two opponents.
Since leaving the House, Park has worked as a lobbyist and attorney. He has extensive experience in civil litigation, including governmental liability, civil rights litigation, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and employment litigation. He holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell, indicating high professional achievement and ethical standards.
