Al Riley is a Democratic politician who formerly represented Illinois House District 38 from January 2007 to January 2019. Born on March 4, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, he resides in Olympia Fields and has served as Rich Township Supervisor in Cook County since August 2005. He also serves as one of two State Central Committeemen from Illinois's Second Congressional District. During his tenure in the Illinois House, Riley held the position of Assistant Majority Leader for two terms over his twelve-year service. The 38th District includes all or portions of Country Club Hills, Flossmoor, Frankfort, Frankfort Square, Hazel Crest, Homewood, Markham, Matteson, Oak Forest, Olympia Fields, Park Forest, Richton Park, Tinley Park, and University Park. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve from 1972 to 1978.
