Al Stirpe is a Democratic Assembly Member representing New York's 127th Assembly District, which includes the towns of Cicero, Clay, Manlius, and Cazenovia. A lifelong Central New Yorker born on June 16, 1953, he was raised in Clyde, where his family owned and operated Albert's Restaurant for over 25 years. Stirpe first served in the Assembly from 2006 to 2010, returned in 2012, and has represented the district continuously since. Notable achievements include his business successes—serving as CFO of CID Technologies and president of Qube Software, growing it into a multi-million-dollar company—and environmental work as Executive Director of Synapse Sustainability Trust , where he deployed 68 electric vehicle charging stations and supported reforestation projects planting over 4,000 trees. In 2011, he received the first SUNY Empire State College Excellence in Environmental Sustainability Award. Currently, he chairs the Assembly Standing Committee on Economic Development and serves on committees for Agriculture; Alcoholism and Drug Abuse; Economic Development, Job Creation, Commerce and Industry; and Higher Education.
