Alan D. Clemmons is a Republican who served as Representative for District 107 in the South Carolina House, representing Horry County including Myrtle Beach and Briarcliffe Acres from 2002 to 2020. Born on December 6, 1958, in Myrtle Beach, he is a real estate attorney and businessman with over 25 years facilitating transactions in the Grand Strand area. He previously chaired the Horry County Republican Party and served as a delegate to the 2000 Republican National Convention. Notable achievements include Distinguished Alumnus of the Year from Coastal Carolina University , Legislator of the Year from the Association of Drug Stores , and Legislator of the Year from Florence County Republican Women . He held key committee roles such as Chairman of the House Rules Committee and 2nd Vice Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee . Since 2020, Clemmons serves as Master in Equity judge for Horry County.
