Alan J. Lasee was born on July 30, 1937, in the Town of Rockland, Brown County, Wisconsin. He is married with six children. Beyond his political career, Lasee is known for raising exotic animals, including llamas and camels, on his property.

Education

Lasee attended St. Norbert High School.

Political Experience

Lasee had a lengthy career in Wisconsin state government. He served in the Wisconsin State Assembly before being elected to the Wisconsin State Senate, where he represented the 1st Senate District from 1977 to 2011. His district encompassed Door, Kewaunee, and part of Brown Counties, stretching from Washington Island in the state's northern tip.

During his tenure in the state senate, Lasee was a prominent Republican voice in the legislature. He eventually left the senate in 2011 to accept a position with Governor Scott Walker's administration.
