Albert Robinson
Albert Robinson was born on December 19, 1938, at Silver Mine Camp in Clay County, Kentucky. He spent his childhood in the East Bernstadt area of Laurel County, Kentucky. Robinson was a Republican who dedicated nearly half a century to public service in Kentucky's legislature.
Education
Robinson earned a degree from Cumberland College, now known as the University of the Cumberlands.
Political Experience
Robinson's legislative career spanned over 50 years across both chambers of the Kentucky General Assembly:
- Kentucky House of Representatives: 1972–1985 and 1987–1989
- Kentucky Senate: 1994–2005 and 2013–2021, representing District 21
During his tenure in the Senate, Robinson served on the Banking and Insurance, State and Local Government, Transportation, and Veterans, Military Affairs, and Public Protection Committees. He served as chair of the Veterans, Military Affairs, and Public Protection Committee from 2015 to 2021. His legislative accomplishments benefited numerous Kentucky families throughout his distinguished career.
