Alberta Tinsley-Talabi is a Democratic former state representative who served Michigan's 2nd House District, encompassing parts of Detroit, Grosse Pointe, Grosse Pointe Farms, and Grosse Pointe Park. Born on August 14, 1954, she is recognized for her leadership in substance abuse prevention and community service, earning over 100 national and local awards, including the United States Office of Drug Czar Presidential Award and multiple Partnership for a Drug-Free Detroit Leadership Awards. She founded the Mack Alive Detroit Coalition Against Billboard Advertising of Alcohol and Tobacco and served as State Director for the National Foundation for Women Legislators in 2014.
