About
Alex Burton is the state representative for Indiana House District 77, covering portions of Vanderburgh County in Evansville, Southwest Indiana. Born and raised in Evansville with family roots dating back to the 1800s, he was elected on November 5, 2024, and sworn into office on November 19, 2024. A former Evansville City Councilman for the 4th Ward , Burton is a business leader at Berry Global, focusing on talent development. He is a seasoned advocate for neighborhood revitalization, equity, food access, youth development, housing, and collaborative solutions, having created programs like Feed Evansville during the pandemic to support youth, adults, and families using federal, state, and local resources. All his sponsored legislation as councilman passed with bipartisan support.
