Alice M. Johnson was a Minnesota politician who served in the Minnesota House of Representatives and Senate as a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party *. She represented *District 37 in the Senate from 2013 to 2016, and previously served in the House from 1987-2000 . Notable for her advocacy on education, taxes, transportation, and labor, she championed Minnesota students and supported initiatives like school lunch funding and the 2016 Bonding Bill. She did not seek re-election to the Senate in 2016 after over 18 years in the legislature and ran unsuccessfully for the DFL endorsement in Minnesota's 6th Congressional District in 1992.
