Alice T. Sophocleus is a Democratic former Maryland State Delegate who briefly served in the House of Delegates for District 32 in Anne Arundel County from July 12, 2018, to January 9, 2019. She was nominated by the Anne Arundel County Democratic Central Committee to fill the vacancy left by the death of her husband, longtime Delegate Ted Sophocleus, who had represented the district since his appointment in 1993 and election in 1998. Prior to her legislative service, she was active in community roles, including as a member of the Commission for Women in Anne Arundel County from 1974 to 1982, where she served as past chair of the rape task force subcommittee, and as a legislative assistant for the County Council in District 1 from 1982 to 1990.
