Allen E. Paul is a former Republican member of the Indiana Senate, representing the 27th District from 1986 until his retirement in 2014. Born on March 30, 1945, he resides in Richmond, Indiana, and is married to Terri.

Education and Political Experience

Paul attended Parsons College, where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He served as a delegate to Indiana's Republican State Convention from 1972 to 1986 before entering the Senate. Notable positions include sponsoring Senate Bill 0027 in 2012 alongside Sen. Jean Leising. In 2005, he voted in committee for Indiana's recognition of daylight saving time despite personal opposition.
