Allen Skillicorn

Allen Skillicorn is a Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives representing the 66th District, a position he has held since January 2017.

Skillicorn has deep roots in the Fox River Valley. He grew up in Algonquin and currently resides in East Dundee with his wife Heather. He is active in his community, attending Fox Valley Church. At the time of his 2015 candidacy, he was 41 years old and shared his home with a 5-year-old Doberman named McFly.

Education

Skillicorn holds an Associate degree from Elgin Community College and graduated from Dundee Crown High School.

Political Experience

Before his election to the state legislature, Skillicorn held several leadership positions within Republican and conservative organizations:

• Vice-Chairman of the Kane County Republican Party
• Chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Illinois
• Liberty Leader for the Illinois Policy Institute
• Member of the Illinois Rifle Association

He has also been involved in civic organizations including a former board membership with the Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce.

Professional Background

Prior to his service in the Illinois House of Representatives, Skillicorn worked as a Director of Marketing for a local electronics manufacturer in the Fox River Valley region.
