About
Senator Amanda Banks is a Republican who represented District 17 in the Indiana State Senate. She served temporarily, stepping in to replace her husband, U.S. Senator Jim Banks, during his National Guard deployment to Afghanistan around 2014-2015. A native Hoosier from Columbia City , she later transitioned to roles in policy advocacy, including senior vice president at Family Policy Alliance since 2019, where she leads programs like the Statesmen Academy and the Social Conservative Policy Conference.
