Ambrose M. Castellano is a Democratic politician and businessman from Las Vegas, New Mexico, who served as the representative for District 70 in the New Mexico House of Representatives from 2021 to 2024. District 70 covers portions of San Miguel, Torrance, and Santa Fe counties. A general contractor and rancher, he focused on issues like agriculture, healthcare reform, veterans' services, education funding, construction safety, and rural community needs. Notable achievements include sponsoring the Elevator Safety Act, bills on refrigerant bans, horse breeder fees, and fishing regulations, as well as advocating for lower healthcare costs and support for seniors and the disabled. He lost his 2024 Democratic primary reelection bid to Anita Gonzales but is running again in the 2026 primary.

Education and Political Experience

  • Education: High school diploma; served over a decade on educational boards, including the Luna Community College Board of Trustees and West Las Vegas School Board.
