About

America "Chuck" Middleton is a former Democratic state representative who served Mississippi's District 85 from 1996 to 2018, resigning in August 2018 after 22 years in office. Born on December 10, 1959, in Natchez, Mississippi, he resided in Port Gibson and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. A retired United States Army veteran and businessman, he founded Friends for Progress. Middleton served on multiple House committees, including Constitution, Energy, Forestry, Gaming, Tourism, Ways and Means, and as Vice Chair of the Investigate State Offices Committee.

  • Education: Attended Alcorn State University and American Technical Institute.
  • Political Experience: Elected to the Mississippi State House of Representatives for District 85 ; former member of committees on Enrolled Bills, Interstate Cooperation, Select Committee on Accountability/Efficiency/Transparency; retired from the U.S. Army.
