Representative André D. Carson has served as the U.S. Representative for Indiana's 7th Congressional District since 2008. Born on October 16, 1974, in Indianapolis, Indiana, he succeeded his grandmother, Julia Carson, in Congress following her passing. As a member of the Democratic Party, Carson has been a prominent advocate for economic growth, public safety, and the well-being of working families in Indiana.
