Andrea Salinas is a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives serving Oregon's 6th congressional district since 2023, currently in her second term. Born on December 6, 1969, she is a first-generation American and the proud daughter of a Mexican immigrant who worked in agriculture before becoming a police officer. She previously represented Oregon's 38th state legislative district from 2017 to 2023. One of the first two Hispanic women elected to Congress from Oregon, she lives in Tigard with her husband, Chris, and their daughter, Amelia.
