Andrew La Grone (49)

Andrew La Grone is a Republican lawyer and former Nebraska state senator who represented District 49 from January 2019 to January 2021. Appointed by the governor following John Murante's election as state treasurer, he ran for a full term in the 2020 election but is no longer in office. Now in private practice at La Grone Slama, LLC in Dunbar, Nebraska, he specializes in estate planning, government affairs, and provides counsel to businesses, officials, and individuals.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Graduated from Millard South High School ; B.A. from University of Nebraska-Lincoln ; J.D. with high distinction from University of Nebraska College of Law , where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as Executive Editor of the Nebraska Law Review.
• Political Experience: Staff assistant in U.S. Congressman Adrian Smith's Washington, D.C. office ; Nebraska state senator for District 49 ; member of the Nebraska State Bar Association.
