Andrew J. Welch III is a Republican politician from Georgia representing District 110 in the Georgia House of Representatives. Elected on November 2, 2010, and sworn in on January 10, 2011, he served until 2021 and holds positions such as Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Public Safety, with committee roles in Code Revision, Judiciary, Juvenile Justice, Regulated Industries, and the Special Committee on Access to the Civil Justice System. Married to Cara Welch with three children, he resides in McDonough and maintains family property along the Ocmulgee River.

Education and Political Experience

Welch is an attorney by occupation and attended Presbyterian College, where he volunteered for faith-based service missions. Prior community service features Eagle Scout projects, four years on the Henry County Chamber of Commerce Transportation Committee , leading the 2007 Henry County Comprehensive Transportation Plan, work on the Joint Henry County/Cities Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, and 2010 chairmanship focusing on education goals like 100% high school graduation by 2022.
