About
Andy Davis is a Republican who formerly represented Arkansas House District 31, covering portions of Pulaski and Saline counties. An engineer by profession and native Arkansan, he served eight years in the Arkansas General Assembly from 2013 to around 2021, first elected in 2012. Notable achievements include committee service on Joint Budget, Education, House Rules, and State Agencies & Governmental Affairs; appointments by Gov. Asa Hutchinson to the Highway Funding Workgroup and Government Transformation Advisory Board; Arkansas Business 40 Under 40 honoree; Arkansas Business 250 Influential Leaders honoree; and 2020 inductee to the Arkansas Academy of Civil Engineers. After leaving the legislature, he became Vice Chancellor of Institutional Relations at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences starting May 2022, following roles as general manager of ARBuy at Periscope Holdings and founder of New Water Systems in 2003. He serves on the American Council of Engineering Companies Arkansas Board and the Dean’s Advisory Council for the University of Arkansas College of Engineering.
