About
Andrew Hunter Holt , a Republican, represented District 76 in the Tennessee House of Representatives from January 2011 to November 2020, covering Weakley County and parts of Obion and Carroll Counties. A businessman, farmer, and staunch conservative, he focused on agriculture, rural economy, constitutional defense, traditional family values, and the right to life. Notable achievements include serving as Chairman of the Budget Subcommittee, Vice-Chairman of the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, and Chairman of the Ag Day on the Hill Committee for 10 years; persuading overseas companies to relocate to his district during economic challenges; and sponsoring 2014 legislation opposing NSA surveillance programs.
