Andrew "Andy" Nuñez is an American politician born on November 30, 1935, in Roswell, New Mexico, and residing in Hatch, New Mexico. He has served as an Independent representing New Mexico House District 36 in multiple terms: 2001-2012 , and 2015-2017 . A farmer and rancher, he was appointed Mayor of the Village of Hatch in 2013 and remains in that role. Notable achievements include serving as former Vice Chair of the Agriculture, Water & Wildlife Committee, membership on the South Central Council of Government , and roles on various boards such as Las Cruces Affordable Housing, Ben Archer Health Center, and New Mexico's Own. He is married to Carolyn with five children and 16 grandchildren, and is Catholic.
