Ann Millner is a Republican Utah State Senator representing District 5, which covers parts of Davis, Morgan, and Weber counties. Elected to the Utah State Senate in 2014 , she previously represented the 18th district and has focused on education, economic development, workforce preparation, higher education, and energy policy. Notable achievements include serving as the 11th president of Weber State University from 2002 to 2012—the first woman in that role—where enrollment grew nearly 40% and the university expanded to a multicampus institution with WSU-Davis. She currently chairs the Economic Development and Workforce Services Committee, Higher Education Appropriations Subcommittee, School Security Task Force, and Senate Ethics Committee, and was elected 2026 chair of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education .
