Ann V. Clemmer (23)

Ann Veasman Clemmer is a Republican professor, politician, and public servant from Saline County, Arkansas. She previously represented District 23 in the Arkansas House of Representatives. Notable achievements include sponsoring ethics reform, lottery scholarship reform, public charter schools, Medicaid and unemployment insurance reforms, adoption procedure improvements, and serving as the House sponsor for Arkansas's strongest anti-abortion law in 2013.

• Education and Occupation: Taught political science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock from August 1992 to January 2015; Baptist church affiliation.
• Political Experience: Elected to the Arkansas House in 2008 for an open seat covering parts of Saline County ; reelected in 2010 and 2012 for District 23. Served on committees including Judiciary, State Agencies, Education, Aging/Children/Youth, Legislative/Military Affairs, Audit, and Arkansas Legislative Council.
