Biography
Anna Paulina Luna, born on May 6, 1989, in Santa Ana, California, is a Republican politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 13th congressional district since January 3, 2023. She is the first Mexican-American woman elected to Congress from Florida.
Raised by a single mother in Southern California's low-income neighborhoods, Luna joined the United States Air Force at 19, serving from 2009 to 2014. During her service, she met her husband, Andy Gamberzky, a Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient.
After her military service, Luna became involved in political activism, serving as the Director of Hispanic Engagement for Turning Point USA and Chairwoman of Hispanic Initiatives at PragerU. She was elected to Congress in 2022, defeating incumbent Democrat Charlie Crist.
In Congress, Luna serves on the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. She is also the Chairwoman of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets.
In May 2023, Luna announced she was expecting her first child, making her the 12th sitting member of Congress to give birth while in office.
