Anna MacKinnon is a former Republican state senator from Alaska who represented District G, encompassing Eagle River, South Fork Valley, Eagle River Valley, Birchwood, and JBER. She served in the Alaska State Senate from 2013 to 2018 and previously in the State House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012, following seven years on the Anchorage Assembly. Notable achievements include chairing the Senate Finance Committee for five years, demonstrating expertise in treasury and tax matters, and extensive community involvement as a founding board member of the Alaska Veterans Museum, past chair of the Anchorage Assembly, and former Executive Director of STAR . After leaving the Legislature in 2018, she joined the Alaska Department of Revenue as a special assistant to the commissioner, serving on boards for the Alaska Energy Authority and Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority.
