Benjamin V. "Ben" Sanchez is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 153rd District in Montgomery County, which includes parts of Abington and Upper Dublin townships. Born on March 11, 1975, in Glenside, he is a lifelong resident of the district, where he was raised and now lives with his wife Karen and their three children. A practicing attorney and certified public accountant, Sanchez was first elected on November 6, 2018, and assumed office on December 1, 2018. His legislative priorities include gun safety, public education, environmental protection, and expanding health care access. Notable achievements include earning a 100% score on the 2019-2020 Pennsylvania Environmental Scorecard, membership in the Climate Caucus, sponsoring legislation to address toxic chemicals in drinking water, and securing funding for parks, trails, and green spaces.
