Biography

Bob Andersen, born in Tiffin, Ohio, and raised near Detroit, Michigan, has been a resident of the Omaha area for approximately 33 years. He began his career in the United States Air Force in 1982, serving as a Russian linguist, signal analyst, and aircrew member on the RC-135 during the Cold War and post-9/11 periods. After retiring from active duty in 2003, Andersen transitioned to roles as a defense contractor and small business owner. In 2008, he and his wife, Julie, purchased an early childhood education center in La Vista, Nebraska. They have two sons, Joe and Jack. Andersen was elected to the Nebraska Legislature representing District 49 in November 2024, defeating incumbent Jen Day. , ,
