Biography

Bradley Scott Schneider, born on August 20, 1961, in Denver, Colorado, is a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives, serving Illinois's 10th congressional district. He was first elected in 2012, narrowly defeating Republican incumbent Bob Dold. After losing to Dold in 2014, Schneider reclaimed the seat in 2016 and has been re-elected in subsequent terms. His district encompasses Chicago's northern suburbs, including Waukegan.

Before his political career, Schneider worked as a management consultant and industrial engineer, assisting businesses with strategic growth. He also owned and managed a life insurance agency from 1997 to 2003.

In Congress, Schneider focuses on building a thriving economy, ensuring affordable healthcare, and promoting quality education. He is committed to protecting Medicare and Social Security, reforming immigration, enacting sensible gun safety legislation, and addressing climate change.

Schneider is recognized for his bipartisan approach, co-founding and co-chairing the bipartisan Abraham Accords Caucus and serving as a chair of the moderate New Democrat Coalition. He is also an active member of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus.

He resides in Deerfield, Illinois, with his wife, Julie, and their two sons, Adam and Daniel.
