Biography
Brian Schatz, born on October 20, 1972, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is the senior United States Senator from Hawaii, serving since December 27, 2012. A member of the Democratic Party, he has been a prominent advocate for climate action, healthcare reform, and technology advancement. Prior to his Senate tenure, Schatz served as Hawaii's Lieutenant Governor from 2010 to 2012 and was a member of the Hawaii State House of Representatives from 1998 to 2006. He is married to Linda Kwok Schatz, an architect, and they have two children.
