Byron Donalds (FL-19)

Biography

Byron Donalds, born on October 28, 1978, in Brooklyn, New York, is a Republican politician representing Florida's 19th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Raised by a single mother, he graduated from Nazareth Regional High School in 1996. After attending Florida A&M University, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and marketing from Florida State University in 2002. Before entering politics, Donalds worked in the banking, finance, and insurance industries. He resides in Naples, Florida, with his wife, Erika, and their three sons: Damon, Darin, and Mason.

• Florida House of Representatives : Represented District 80, focusing on elder affairs, criminal justice reform, and education. Served as Chair of the PreK-12 Quality Subcommittee and the Insurance & Banking Subcommittee .
• U.S. House of Representatives : Elected to represent Florida's 19th Congressional District in 2020 and reelected in 2022. Serves on the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability and the House Financial Services Committee.
