Biography
Cory Mills, born on July 13, 1980, in Winter Haven, Florida, is a Republican politician and businessman serving as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 7th Congressional District since January 3, 2023. Raised in Auburndale, Florida, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1999, serving with the 82nd Airborne Division and Joint Special Operations Command. During his military service, Mills was deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Pakistan, and Somalia, earning a Bronze Star for his actions in Iraq.
After his military career, Mills co-founded PACEM Solutions International LLC in 2014 and later acquired Amtec Less-Lethal Systems, Inc. in 2018, focusing on defense and security solutions. In December 2020, he was appointed to the Defense Business Board by President Donald Trump, serving until February 2021.
In 2022, Mills was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, succeeding Stephanie Murphy. He was re-elected in 2024 and continues to represent Florida's 7th District.
