Biography

Dave Murman, born on June 30, 1953, in Hastings, Nebraska, is a Republican politician serving as the state senator for Nebraska's 38th legislative district. He assumed office on January 9, 2019, succeeding John Kuehn. Murman has a background in agriculture, having been a third-generation farmer and former dairy farmer. He is married to Kathy, and they have three children: Kelsi, Whitney, and Chase.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, 1976.

• Political Experience:

  • Elected to the Nebraska State Legislature representing District 38 in 2018; re-elected in 2022.
