Biography
David Frank Kustoff, born on October 8, 1966, in Memphis, Tennessee, is a Republican politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Tennessee's 8th congressional district since 2017. Raised in Shelby County, he attended White Station High School before pursuing higher education at the University of Memphis. After earning his Juris Doctor in 1992, Kustoff established a law firm in Memphis. His political career includes roles such as Chairman of the Shelby County Republican Party and Tennessee Chairman for both Bush/Cheney presidential campaigns in 2000 and 2004. In 2006, President George W. Bush appointed him as U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee, where he focused on combating government corruption and violent crime. Kustoff has been re-elected to Congress multiple times and currently serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means.
