Biography

David N. Cicilline is a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Rhode Island's 1st congressional district. He has served in this role since 2011. Cicilline is known for his advocacy on issues including civil rights, gun control, and antitrust legislation. Before his congressional service, he was the Mayor of Providence, Rhode Island, from 2003 to 2011, where he focused on revitalizing the city and improving public education and public safety.
